This severed head for Caucasian Chalk Circle (2018) at the Central School of Speech and Drama was a painted silicone prosthetic, taken from an adapted life cast of an actor. Prior to this project, I had never worked with silicone in the context of prosthetics, and I found the process both challenging and extremely rewarding. New materials meant a lot of trial and error through which I learnt a lot. Due to the hairstyle required, most of the hair on this head was hand punched.
I thoroughly enjoyed this project, and would welcome further work of this nature.
